Dunlop si-a deschis prima fabrica de anvelope in 1890 la Dublin in Irlanda condusa de ?parintele anvelopei? John Boyd Dunlop. In 1893 a deschis prima fabrica de anvelope din Germania la Hanau. Dupa 20 de ani avea fabrici in Malaezia, in Japonia, producea si vindea la scara mondiala. Din 1996 s-a aliat cu Sumitomo si Goodyear si face parte din Goodyear Dunlop Tire B.V. Produce anvelope premium pentru toate tipurile de autovehicule.
